The Pasquale Templar Model is the latest addition to our Metal Series Guitars and one look at the body design will show you why we are so excited about it. It absolutely SCREAMS Metal! The templates are done and the first of the series is in production.
The concept for this design began over a year ago when I began dialog with a Swedish Guitar Shredder named Peter Stenlund. Peter is the director of the Music Shuttle which is a Swedish version of The School of Rock. It is a private funded music school that is run through the Swedish Public School System.
Peter was initially looking for well-made economy guitars to use for his music program. We had several dialogs about this but at the end of the day Pasquale Custom Guitars is not a low end guitar job shop so we could not make an arrangement to get our guitars into the Music Shuttle. However, we did manage to have several discussions about what Peter wanted in a custom guitar for himself.
The original concept was for a Modern 24 - 7 string guitar. In our discussions we mainly discussed wood types, pickups and fret sizes etc. As the time rolled on we discussed custom body styles and Peter eventually came back wanting a Jackson Kelly Style guitar. As we dug in further there were things about the Kelly that he did not like, particularly the way the rear upper bout of the guitar jutted up and caused his forearm to rest in an uncomfortable position. I played around with the design and we found a unique shape that was familiar but still unlike anything else on the market.
We added a unique cut out on the rear lower bout that gives this guitar a raging metal persona.
Stay tuned for more updates on this model and more pics of the 1st production model…
