Pasquale Custom Guitars as once again partnered with Operation Support Our Troops America to Sponsor the “Rockin’ for the Troops” Concert at Catigny Park in Wheaton Illinois. Once again we will raffle off two guitars to raise money to help with veteran’s recovery and therapy.
Making a return appearance this year will be the “Shave the Nation” guitar complete with the Uncle Sam Mascot and once again we will have a custom “One of a Kind” hand striped camouflage “Operation Support Our Troops” Guitar.
This year we will also add a 3rd guitar to the donation to be given to a preselected veteran to be used as part of PTSD therapy in The United States Veterans Arts Program “Artistic Tools for Veterans” This organization was founded by Kimo Williams, a Vietnam Veteran who served as the musical director for Gary Sinise’s Lt. Dan Band
Also new for this year are our incredible sponsors that have partnered with us. We have some of the best hardware and accessory manufacturers in the world who have agreed to sponsor these guitars so that they will be among the best instruments in the world.
Hipshot Products was the first company to come on board with us and I cannot state the magnitude of their support. I had one conversation with Jason Ungleich at Hipshot and before I could finish my sentence he was all in. Hipshot graciously volunteered all of the bridges and tuners for these guitars and I am proud to have them on board because I believe their products to the leader in the industry and I recommend them for my custom guitar builds.
EMG Pickups was the next sponsor to jump onboard. Scott Wunschel of the EMG marketing department immediately offered us a full complement of EMG’s new Metal Works series pickups to outfit this year’s guitars. We will be using the Brushed Black Chrome 81/85 Humbuckers in these guitars and they will look awesome.
D’Addario Strings will supply all the strings that will be used on the guitars as well as a nice stash of extra strings and picks as well as straps and T-shirts.
Stewart MacDonald, our trusted supply shop for over 15 years, graciously donated all of the miscellaneous materials like truss rods, switches, nuts, string trees and neck screws.
Lastly, Rich Gonne of Gonne Custom Amplification has agreed to donate 3 custom camouflage amplifiers to fully complement this year’s guitars and allow us to offer a full package to this year’s recipients.
This will surely be a great project this year for a great cause
