Pasquale Metal Series Guitars

Pasquale Custom Guitars was founded on the premise of making 100% Handmade Electric Guitars using traditional woodworking techniques. Our focus is less on speed of production and more on the quality of the product.  Our main focus has been on perfecting the classic version of the Fender Stratocaster and developing that into what eventually became our Classic and Modern Series Guitars.

A casual look at our website would lead one to believe that we stopped our development at this point and became stagnant because we only offer 2 models of guitars with a few different hardware options.

Well, my friend. Let me tell ya…nothing could be further from the truth!

Pasquale Custom Guitars has indeed dedicated a large portion of development into what I call “Perfecting the Strat”. We did this because I felt that “The Strat” truly did need to be perfected. I also feel that we have accomplished this with our Classic and Modern Guitars and the LT, HT and ST series of options that we offer which are more sonically balanced, versatile and unique than most other guitars.

Through this process we solved some of the age old problems that plague most guitarists like, tuning stability, limited fret access, bulky neck heels and several other issues.
However, we did not stop there by any means.

I am a tried and true Metal Head who grew up in the era of Motley Crue, Ratt and other cheesy 80’s hairball metal bands and I absolutely LOVE that stuff. I also grew up on the hardcore thrash stuff like early Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer which eventually became The New Wave of American Heavy Metal. I absolutely love THAT stuff too.
Some would say it’s not possible to love both of those genres because the fans of each absolutely hated each other but I stand here today as a testimonial that indeed it is possible to love both! (Just please do not add Bon Jovi to this list or things will get ugly).

As an aside, I know it is difficult to not be opinionated about Metallica because of their huge global impact, either good or bad, on Heavy Metal. When I say I was a fan of early Metallica, I am referring to Metallica circa “The Cliff Burton Era”. This is a starkly different band than the one that most people know today. If you think you are truly a fan of early Metallica then ask yourself one question: What was the first song on Side 2 of the original cassette version of Kill ‘Em All?

If you don’t know the answer to this question without using Google then you were not a fan of early Metallica!

Nonetheless, I was hugely impacted by 80’s Metal and the 80’s style of Metal Guitars.

I mean, what was cooler than a Nikki Sixx playing a B.C. Rich Warlock bass in the video for “Looks That Kill”? or David Ellefson playing an Ironbird bass in the video for “Wake Up Dead”?

Could there be anything more “Metal” than Dave Mustaine playing a B.C. Rich Bich onstage in Metallica next to James Hetfield?

Was there ever anything as cool as the Jackson Angled Headstock? Will there ever be anything that cool again?  Did the Jackson Rhoads’ and King V’s not conjure up images of heavymetal supremacy? The List of great guitars goes on and on.

These were guitars designed to impact the world visually as well as sonically. They made a statement before a single note was ever played and that statement was usually “F*#K YOU!” They were weapons of absolute sonic destruction and were only to be wielded by the chosen few who had the nerve to strap them on, strike an E minor chord and raise their Fist!

Ok …enough goofing around, you get the point…these guitars were cool! They were designed for maximum visual impact as well as all out brutal metal tones. Pasquale Custom Guitars has taken this same vision and focus, along with our improvements that we made to our original Classic and Modern guitars, to develop our Pasquale Custom Metal Series Guitars.

This series includes 6 new models with radical new shapes that pay homage to the classic designs of the 80’s era guitars with a modern edge and of course my own twisted visions  thrown in.

These new models include: The Vengeance, Inferno, Inferno-X, Assassin, Switchblade and Tribulation.

Each model is 100% unique and exclusive to my shop. We spent time is research and development to ensure proper balance and feel as well as proper wood choices, pickups and hardware. We worked with metal players and artist who love this genre of music to help us refine the looks, feel and sound of these metal masterpieces.  Many hours were spent in tone development to ensure that the sonic “badassness” would match the visual appearance and we spent hours upon hours developing custom graphics that are 100% exclusive and only available at my shop.

We will release these new Metal Series Guitars at our booth at the Chicago Guitar Show on May 17th 2014. Be sure to check us out there and stay tuned to this site for more detailed descriptions of each of these new models.

Until then….
